Welcome to the Reeview, by Rob Reeve.
Have a seat. Let me get you a drink.
I talk about other worlds to figure out this one.
Writing tidies up the messy corners of my head and helps me come to understand everyday life (or escape from it). You’ll get critiques of movies, shows, books, games, and news, and occasionally hear about stories I’m working on.
Who does this guy think he is, anyway?
I’ve had my writing stolen by Newsweek and iamthirtyaf. I’ve written about ad tracking and my mom’s toothpaste, the true identities of the founders of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, the Big-Techification of tabletop RPGs, and the labor issues around AI-generated images.
I also write and edit D&D adventures.
My ideal reader: a curious, kind heterodox.
My Twitter account exploded overnight and nobody taught me how to deal with it. I tried chasing what I thought my followers wanted to read. Now that it’s burning down, I’m back to writing whatever I want again.
To new beginnings. 🥂
What can you expect?
Sometimes I have four good ideas in a week and sometimes I take a months-long hiatus. This thing’s free, but if you want to toss me a buck or two, I won’t say no.
Honestly? The greatest gift you can give me right now is recommending me to a friend. If you like the Reeview, tell someone.
Came here after your toothpaste story, shared on Quora, then found you on Twitter. Love the way arriving here autocompleted my email address :) especially after reading about tracking.
But your info looks interesting, so this is one of the rare Reeviews I’ll sign up for. Looking forward to reading your posts. Thanks, Janet
